Papua New Guinea belongs to Oceania and is a tropical archipelago country in the Western Pacific. It has a total population of 11.78 million and adopts a constitutional monarchy system.
In 2020, grassroots elections will be held in multiple autonomous regions in Papua New Guinea. Voting for the parliamentary election begins on August 12. It is the first grassroots election since the 2019 Bougainville referendum, in which 98% of voters chose independence from Papua New Guinea. Each state will elect 139 members of the House of Representatives in this election. It is worth noting that 14 women have entered its autonomous regional council.
This grassroots election involved a total of 11 states, with a total of 4.7 million voters participating in the voting. The venues involved schools, hospitals, enterprises, business premises, etc. in each state. After August 25, each state will gradually complete the statistical work. A total of 5,000 polling stations were built, and MONDAX provided 7,700 80-liter election boxes and 10,000 bottles of purple election ink. In addition, since this voting involves school elections and corporate elections, we also provide 10,000 desktop voting booths.
We have since collaborated again with Papua New Guinea’s nationwide parliamentary elections in July 2022.
