Nigeria is located in western Africa. With a population of 227 million and more than 250 ethnic groups, it is the most populous country in Africa. Nigeria's official language is English. It has a multi-party system.
On February 25, 2023, Nigeria held a National Assembly election. The general election was held simultaneously in 36 states across the country. There were more than 93 million registered voters, of which more than 87 million received voter cards in time and were eligible to vote. A total of 2,176 people ran for 469 seats in this National Assembly election.
The 10th National Assembly was elected. The All Progressives Congress won 59 seats in the 109-seat Senate and 178 seats in the 360-seat House of Representatives, while the main opposition party, the People's Democratic Party, won 36 seats and 115 seats respectively. The All Progressives Congress once again became the ruling party.
The Nigerian government budget for this election totaled 1.3 billion yuan, and the total demand for election supplies was 156 million yuan, accounting for about 12%. Mondibes Election Services Company (MONDAX) provided 20 sets of election plans, 120,000 sets of election boxes, 200,000 pieces of election pens, ink stamps and other consumables, built 76,000 polling stations.
